Psalm 61:2

"When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I".

When ever you feel overwhelmed, upset or just plained burdened you look for comfort. When pressured you will always run to what is familiar or comfortable. Going to what is comfortable makes you feel better, even if it is only for a few minutes. That's why certain foods are called "comfort foods". They make you feel better when you are eating them. However, after you are finished you say "I shouldn't have eaten that".

When your heart is heavy, Jesus, is higher then you. Next time, go to the rock by listening to a CD of scriptures and/or music.

Your feelings can be governed by what you hear. You can change what you feel (overwhelmed, pressured, burdened) by changing what you hear.
What do you think?
